PRESS INFORMATION
The Buffalo Bill Museum is willing and eager to work
with members of the media and travel writers. We respond to requests
for information promptly and can usually provide TIFFs or JPEGs
of photos in our collection within 2 working days.
*Historic photographs - The Museum has nearly 1300 photographs of
Buffalo Bill, the Wild West shows, and Wild West performers in its
digital database. Depending upon the use, the images of historic
photos can be provided free of charge or for a minimal fee. JPEGs
can be provided as email attachments; TIFFs are usually provided
on a CD-R. Printed copies of photographs are also available.
*Information - The Museum has a historical archive as well as research
files on Buffalo Bill, the Wild West shows, Wild West performers,
and a variety of topics pertaining to the Old West. The Museum’s
Director, Steve Friesen, is also available to provide statements
on a variety of subjects, including the various controversies surrounding
Buffalo Bill’s life and death. Topics the Museum can address
include:
- Buffalo Bill’s Life
- The Two Bills (Buffalo Bill and Wild Bill Hickok)
- Controversy Surrounding Buffalo Bill’s Burial
- Buffalo Bill and the Indians (Including the Ghost
